Klammer App Reviews

Great buy and a Godsend

I too rarely write reviews. I am an attorney and I have gone completely over to Mac now, and dont relish using Parrells if I dont have to. I was looking for a program to open Outlook files a client sent me, and all I could find were $50 to $100 software. For my limited needs that just wasnt worth spending the money. This App was a God-send for my needs. Great to open up and/or simply view a few emails. Highly recommended.

Needed on the Mac and great developer support

This app is now part of my essential Mac collection due to the large number of Outlook users at my workplace. When I had one message that Klammer wouldnt read, I sent a message to the developer and got a response within 24 hours (and ultimately, the problem wasnt due to Klammer).

Does not open meeting invitations

I had to go the Klammer website to find out this program would not open calendar events. Until it does, I just wasted $6.

Finally!

This app works as described, it allows you to open and read .MSG files on your Mac.

Seemless integration with mac mail.

The app works well. Once installed, you can simply open winmail.dat attachments within the mac mail program. Its seemless and easy. It was exactly what I was looking for.

It does the trick

Very useful tool for opening msg files on the Mac. Not only can you read the msg-format e-mails (and access attachments) but you can use the resulting converted file in Apple Mail. Very handy.

Flawless with Mac Outlook 2011

I just transitioned from PC to Mac environment over the past 4-6 weeks. As anyone can imagine, there have been bumps in the road here and there. New software to purchase, utilities to find for those small tasks I like having automated, etc. Working away at my conversion and *ding* an email comes in.. Aww schucks its a winmail.dat file and I have nothing to convert it with. Quick stop to the App store and Klammer looked like my best bet for integration with Outlook 2011. Flawless. From the 1 click installation forward I have not had another issue with winmail.dat files. Klammer does its work seamlessly and my workflow is not interrupted in the slightest. Thank you Klammer for saving me time..

Version 1.3

Absolutely seamless conversion. If only everything worked this well.

crashes

Bought it, tried it and it didnt work (needed a "Force quit"). Then went an bought one of the competitors, which worked just fine with the very same file. Might be an odd file, but then - why did it work immediately with the other tool?

Works like a champe

1. Installed and worked the first time… always a plus! 2. Apple should provide this functionality in Mail directly 3. BTW, if you open the same email in Gmail in Safari, Google converts the winmail.dat file in line. I still bought this utility because I prefer Mail. The Quicklook integration is nice.

Perfect

This is just what I needed, when I needed it-- it was great to find this product listed in the App store. After it installed, I didnt even have to restart Mail-- I just switched to a different email then back to the one with the winmail.dat, and there it was-- Quicklook and all!

Thank you

I just had someone send me an archive of more than 1000 e-mails in .MSG format. This allowed me to open all of them very quickly on my Mac so I could sort through them and find what I needed. $7 saved me 700 hours!

Cheap and effective

Its relativley cheap, especially compared to the other option of running a windows VM with outlook installed, and it does exactly what it needs to without feature creep. Also, Im running Lion and its running great, in case the earlier review scared you.

Opens MSG files perfectly

I dont know about the Windat files that the other user was having trouble with, but this app opens MSG files perfectly!

Finally a winmail.dat application that actually WORKS!

I have been looking for a long time for a good application to handle meeting notices I get from various people. They keep coming across as "winmail.dat" and every other application I tried says that the file is empty! Being skeptical, I spoke with their support team before purchasing. What a great experience! They were helpful, friendly, fast to respond, and even took my winmail.dat file, ran it through their tool and verified that it worked before I purchased it. So, buy this app for the functionality, enjoy the great team that developed and support it!

Bulk Converter (in-app purchase) DOES NOT WORK!

I purchased both the app and the Bulk Converter (in-app purchase at a whopping $9.99) to do a one time conversion of about 4000 .msg files into something readable on a mac. The file viewer has the exact same functionality as the MailRaider FREEWARE, but is slightly less intuitive. Its basically the same software with a slightly different wrapper. The only reason to pay for this is the Bulk Converter, and that doesnt work. It eats ENORMOUS QUANTITIES of free memory, and then crashes when it runs out before it completes your batch. I ran this with 3GB and 4GB ram machines and it crashed on both. I tried much smaller batches and it still crashed before completing a batch (though it did not run out of memory). Was running OS 10.7.3

Not worth money

This crashes everytime it opens. Absolutley does not work!!!

Not working for me.

Just bought Klammer. However, I found it could not open my winmail.dat files. Eventually I found a free app on MacUpDate that could, called: "TNEFs Enough." Whether there is a bug in the current Klammer version or not, I cannot say.

Doesnt work.

I bought this for one reason only: to deal with calendar invite responses coming from Outlook users. And it doesnt work; attempting to open such a winmail.dat results in an error that Klammer cant deal with movie types.

Worked ok for me

Opens winmail attachments as a formatted email, just as I would like. It did export to Outlook, when my default program is mail. I also wish their was a mail plugin to do this automatically when the message itself was opened.
